What Makes Dale Carnegie Different?
Over 100 years of proven success has made Dale Carnegie the industry leader and a true benchmark in professional training and development solutions.
Performance Change Pathway™
The Dale Carnegie experience engages learners from the initial contact through follow-up and support to reinforce key behaviors. Our methodology supports the development of skills and habits needed to sustain performance change. We believe that the emotional shift is as important as the behavior shift. That’s why our Performance Change Pathway™ shows our deliberate approach to create training programs that drive improved performance. Dale Carnegie’s Performance Change Pathway™ encompasses five key components: Input, Awareness, Experience, Sustainment, and Output. We know that these components are essential to the design and delivery of our programs. They formulate a continuous learning path for participants to drive organizational results.
Transformation Formula
The outcomes we achieve are a result of what we do [behaviour]. If we habitually behave in a certain way, we absorb this behaviour as part of our identity or mindset. We can decide we want a different outcome and change our behaviour but unless we modify our identity that sustained new behaviour is unlikely to continue The Dale Carnegie approach is to explore a modified identity. Who am I now: Who do I want to be? Who could I be? For example, do I see myself as someone for whom fitness is very important, or am I just going to the gym to see what happens. Do I see myself as a non-smoker or am I just trying to give up smoking. Obviously the more I behave in a certain way the more I can move to the identity I want. Equally, the clearer I am about who I want to be, the more likely it is that I can sustain the changed behaviour. At the organisational level, if our desired outcomes are changed culture, increased engagement, employee retention, then the necessary behaviour change might be improving our team leader’s ability to coach, delegate, lead change, make decisions. The company or departmental identity might be that “We are strategic,” “We are customer focused.” “We take ownership.”
