She was born in 1970 in İzmit. She completed his secondary and high school education at Kocaeli Anatolian High School and her undergraduate education at Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics in 1992. She completed her master's degree in European Studies in the Department of International Relations at the same university in 2002.

In 1992, following her undergraduate education, she joined the banking sector as a management trainee (Management Trainee Program) at İktisat Bank. For two years, she managed the bank relations of corporate companies as a credit marketing officer

In 1995, she was sent to The Park Avenue Bank N.A. in New York with the selection of the Bank's senior management. She worked in New York for 2 years as responsible for the bank's Turkey desk. 

In 1998, she returned to Iktisat Bank General Directorate Credit Marketing Unit as sector manager. In 1999, she established the Cash Management Unit of the Bank. In 2000, he started to work as the manager of Güneşli Branch of the same bank.

In 2001, she was appointed as the representative of The Park Avenue Bank NA in Turkey. As the country manager of the bank, she managed customer and credit relations in line with the bank's general strategies and targets, and undertook the communication between the representative office and the head office.

In 2004, when The Park Avenue Bank closed its Turkey office due to a change of controlling shareholder, she left the sector and joined ND Finansal Hizmetler ve Danışmanlık Ltd. as managing partner. She advised companies above a certain size on foreign capital markets. She worked with companies such as TAV, Bilkent Holding, Gisad, Tepe İnşaat, Ülker on issues such as asset-backed bond issuance, restructuring of capital options, real estate investment finance.

In 2012, she started working as a trainer and professional coach at Dale Carnegie Turkey. She provided technical trainings on Financial and Financial Analysis and Risk Analysis to various banks and institutions. 

In the same year, she completed Dale Carnegie Turkiye's instructor certificate program and started to provide Leadership Trainings mainly within the Academy. 

In 2014, Mrs. Faka assumed the position of General Manager of Dale Carnegie Turkey and is also a member of the Board of Directors of Dale Carnegie Netherlands. 

In 2019, Faka received the title of PCC and she mainly provides Team Coaching and senior management Leadership coaching. 

Dilek Faka speaks English fluently and is the mother of one child.
